Well, that was fun, huh? Everyone's recovering, I'm guessing. Luke? Ginny? ... Angry guy? You're all good?

With all the excitement over, we can go back to doing whatever, huh? After rebuilding some stuff, of course.

Speaking of... Uh. I've been trying to keep an eye out for stuff, but would anyone know a good place to find building materials? Like scrap metal and bolts and stuff? Either I'm looking in the wrong places or there's not much of that around. There's gotta be something after all of that, right?

You could always take apart what is left of the harpy nests. There should be plenty of scrape metal in there.

Might just be me, but I'd think it's a better idea to not use metal from the things that were trying to kill us.

Oh you don't think I meant...

I wasn’t talking about using the harpies themselves… They were finding scrap metal in the City to build their nests out of.
It's just normal scrap metal.

Still something I'd probably use as a last choice.

Any other ideas?

You could try ‘Dumpster Diving’ or one of the hardware stores maybe… Unless these have been cleaned out by the harpies they might have what you need.

Is there something more specific that you are looking for?

Just some big pieces I can put together for something. Hardware stores would probably have tools I'd need, but not the materials.

Never caught the guy's name last time I talked to him. He was kinda... Interesting, but seemed like he had a good enough head on his shoulders.

I see.

[ And because Arthur's got no particular interest other than that of a passing kind in the 'angry guy', a hook into the conversation, he moves on just as readily. ]

What are you trying to build?

I'd say a solar surfer, but I can't find any solar panels. So... Like an air surfer's probably the best name for it here.

[ Suffice to say, Arthur got his hands on one or all versions available of the guide from various persons. He's aware of the 'from different times' concept but it's sticking largely to just that. A concept. So far. Rather than undermine the validity of what he's still perceiving as a spin-off of the subconscious, he goes around. ]

Strictly wind based, or with some kind of engine?

[ Granted, 'surf' does imply a certain lack of the usual heavyweight machinery, but he's just not sure. ]

Depends on what you're trying to do. Back home, the solar panels would power a small engine to propel it and you could use that or you could retract the sails and glide on the wind with it.

Here, it looks like I'll have to figure out some other kind of power source.

I guess so since he didn't give me a better one to call him by.

One of the guides says there's a barrier. I wonder how high you could get before you run into it.

Don't know. The barrier just got put back up, so there's no telling if it's the same specifics or not.

...It'd be fun to find out, though.

Depends on what you're going to build.

They might have larger pieces of metal or know how to order them. Thankfully I haven’t had to search for any myself.

May I ask? What are you trying to build?
Would wood work? There seems to be no shortage of that here.

Could be for people interested.

Something to glide the air on?

A glider. So wood wouldn't work for it.

Last time I was here, there was a junkyard lot - though I'm not sure whether or not it's still present, nor the man who ran it.
