[It's only been a few months, but it feels like he's grown up so much between seeing him leave Montressor and now. Sarah takes a half-step back when she finds herself with an armful of Jim and then hugs him just as tightly back.]

[Jim, when has lying to your mother ever worked for you? The way she is still frowning means that, yeah, no, she totally doesn't believe that's all it is. She keeps her hand on his cheek, though, as if holding him there and staring him down studying his face will change things.

But it's a welcome sight.

Then she sighs, shoulders dropping a bit, and she hugs him close again.]

[Yeah, no, leaving out the dangerous details was a good life decision, Jim. Because, yes, Sarah really is willing to sit here and listen all about his adventures, and though having him so far away wasn't her first choice... she can tell he's actually happy. Happier than being stuck in Montressor with the cops, anyway.]
